Fall Newsletter

This is a link to an example of a newsletter from letterpop.com. This is a tool you could use in your classroom and send out to parents, weekly or monthly. Very easy to create, a little tricky publishing it...but a neat, FREE tool nonetheless.

Track Alumni Tailgate

My dad ran track at K-State back in the 70's and created some lifelong friendships. He organized a small alumni track reunion with guys he ran with. Two of his closest friends came, one living in Kansas City and one from California. They had a great time telling old stories and reliving their college experience. It really made me appreciate the memories I've made at K-State and hope to have the same reunions with old friends, when I get older. It was a fun filled weekend with lots of old friends and good food. The weather ended up being really nice and it was overall a great weekend, minus the Cats losing. We had a great tailgate including egg casserole, pigs in a blanket, fruit salad and bagels. It was cool when we first got there, but ended up being perfect, minus the wind, by the end of the game.

A mid-week update

Ahhhh, I'm getting a bit overwhelmed with all the school work. We have lots of things to add to our website and listen to podcasts. So many things to do and so little time. This weekend, my parents will be in town for the game and we're having a big tailgate...so my saturday is shot. I am going home next weekend to see Matt, YAY, but need to get everything done before I leave. I am anxious to get back in the schools but not ready to finish my unit before that happens.
